From the minute we walked in the door we were welcomed and served with style. The staff was informative & polite. Even though our food came out pleasantly quick, they did not make us feel like we were in a typical American restaurant worrying about rushing you through your meal to turn the table. Our food was deliciously worth our $50 bill of the food you see plus a coffee. We will be back. ”

“ I always look forward to a trip here. My very favorite is chicken Salas on their apricot and cranberry bread. And it's so big that my husband and I share it. Add a glass of wine and it's a perfect lunch. Sadly, they close after lunch so don't plan dinner here. Also, buy some of the beautiful desserts and pastries before leaving. You'll be glad you did! ”

“ We were running around the island after walking the beach and I really felt like something different. We searched Yelp and the French Bakery felt like it was a good fit. We were seated inside, immediately, which is always nice. The service was good and our waiter was quick to bring us our water and food. I had the Quiche Lorraine and it was really good. I feel like you never get enough but I'm full after eating it so it's probably the right amount. The salad was really fresh and tasty. My wife had a sandwich which was also very good. Their coffee is excellent. That really matters to us caffeine addicts. The chocolate moose ball was also a great way to end the meal. After walking 3.5 miles on the beach we felt it was deserved. Give them a try. It's fresh and not greasy food. ”

“ Great place for a delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch! We were on vacation and looking for a nice place to have lunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. This place hit the spot! Food was delicious--especially their crepes! The crab cakes Benedict was spot on. The salad dressings were phenomenal not to mention the desserts to die for especially that cinnamon twisty pastry. Great atmosphere! Friendly service! Highly recommend! We actually came back the next day and got more! ”

“ Cute little spot in shelter cover. Me and three others walked in for a girls brunch around 10 with no wait. We opted to sit outside and the only issue we had was that the tables needed to be wiped down. There was syrup on our table and menus as well as a few crumbs here and there. To drink, we got the lavender bliss. This wasn't on the physical menu but was available on their online website so they were able to accommodate us. Really recommend this drink to anyone who's a fan of a more floral drink. I got the grilled chicken which came with a side salad. I really enjoyed the salad and appreciated that they put the dressing on the side. The sandwich was pretty filling so I ended up taking half to go but highly recommend anyone coming here to get a bread based meal since I felt the bread was top notch. A great plus to this spot is the shopping available around! Great reason to walk off your meal while popping into the nearby stores ”

“ The coffee and bread here are stellar! We stopped in to this brunch spot with a large group of 10 and they were able to seat us inside right away. Unfortunately the table they sat us at was dirty, with crumbs everywhere, and I don't know if the server heard us when we asked if the table could be cleaned because he didn't clean it. We wound up using our napkins to wipe the crumbs away ourselves. I ordered a Honey Lavender Latte with almond milk. The lattes here are served with coffee ice cubes, an excellent touch to keep the drinks from getting watered down. My latte was delicious, and stayed flavorful for the duration of our meal. Hands down the best coffee I had during my stay in Hilton Head. For my meal, I ordered the Caprese Salad Hot Sandwich, in spite of its staggering price tag (almost $19 for a sandwich??) and was glad I did. Though I still think it is overpriced, the sandwich was excellent. I was surprised when the sandwich came out and appeared to be kind of a small portion--it was exactly as much sandwich as I wanted, but for the price I expected more. That being said, it was delicious and the bread was the star of the show. If not for the crumb debacle and the surprisingly steep prices, this would have absolutely been a 5-star experience. I'll certainly budget for a French Bakery brunch on my next HHI trip! ”
